A Beginner’s Guide to Generating Quality MLM Leads Online with SEO
If you are ready to kick your MLM business into high gear, generate quality leads, and drive major new traffic to your site to make money online, it’s time to jump into the world of Search Engine Optimization, or SEO.
I know it sounds pretty basic, but the first thing you need to do for effective SEO is to find those keyword phrases that you will use in your blogs, online article submissions and/or advertising to drive traffic to your site. Here’s how to start:
1) Start with Google Analytics to determine what keywords are people currently searching on to find your site. The information provided through this free service is invaluable, so if you don’t yet have a Google Analytics account, you want to set up one up, pronto.
2) Next, go to the Keyword Research tool to get variations of those keywords. The Google Keyword Tool can be found by Googling “Google Keyword Tool.” You want to choose keyword phrases that are 100 percent relevant to your service or product, and that have high search volume and low competition.
3) For seasoned SEO pros: (Note: I’m throwing in this last step because there are many home-based business entrepreneurs that want to fast-track their success rates and have the hours to make that happen. If you can’t spend that kind of time, don’t worry about it. Steps One and Two will keep you plenty busy!) If you can afford to set aside 30 to 40 hours every week to grow your business, experiment with going after the highly-competitive search terms.

Because the more time you have to spend on these most popular keywords or phrases, the better your chance of snagging high rankings and visibility. It all comes down to what resources you can realistically allocate to the competitive game of rankings and your level of commitment. If you have the time and patience, go for it!
It’s as simple as that. (Well, for now, anyway.)

Google is constantly changing how they rank websites and the algorithms they use to determine search results, so it’s important to keep up to date on the latest and greatest in search engine ranking. Once a quarter or so, be sure to do a little resource on Google to see what this search engine giant is up to, what’s changed, what’s coming, etc. You can bet that the savviest of your competitors keep one finger on Google’s pulse, and if you’re going to succeed in the world of online marketing, you’re going to want to do the same.
